To celebrate my 60th birthday, I want to raise funds for Kootenay Christian Academy (KCA) in Cranbrook, BC.  KCA is the #1 academic school in Cranbrook and strives to provide excellence in academics, as well as developing moral character and promoting service to others in students.

The school's mission and vision is to assist families by providing students with a Christ-centered education to enable students to achieve their maximum potential in a secure and respectful learning environment.  The building expansion will allow more children to enroll and the general fundraising account will provide help in various areas of need.

It is said that the children of today are tomorrow's future.

My goal is to cross-country (x/c) ski as many kilometers as possible in a 24 hour period.  My plan is to ski 200 km's or more during the 24 hours.  I will be attempting this challenge sometime during the end of the month of February 2025 at the Kimberley Nordic Club's x/c ski trails depending on weather conditions.

I also hope people will take this opportunity to achieve goals or challenges themselves with their families or friends towards an active lifestyle.  This could be planning a family ski or hike etc..  As an individual, one could take a ski lesson for the first time or challenge yourself to ski a certain distance or time.  Please take this opportunity as motivation for you or your family to try an active goal or challenge.
